Polar Dive USA is a real, operating budget cold plunge brand based in Boca Raton, Florida, and its site says it now sells through Target and Sam’s Club. Its BBB file shows 10 complaints in three years, six of them resolved. The recurring issues are backordered chillers, leaking inflatable tubs, and return policy disputes. Several of those complaints ended in full refunds.

What the complaints say
- Backorders. Four BBB complaints from December 2024 to July 2026 describe orders delayed for weeks. In one 2025 case, a buyer received a tub, then a second tub, but no chiller. Polar Dive’s responses cite backorders tied to tariffs and port congestion. In each of those cases, the record shows a full refund or a delivered order.
- Leaking inflatable tubs. Several complaints describe tubs that leaked water or air, sometimes on the replacement too.
- Return policy disputes. A 2025 complaint says the main returns page promised a full refund while a separate page, reachable only by site search, described a 15% restocking fee. Polar Dive issued a full refund without the fee. A 2024 complaint under The Polar Rush LLC disputes who pays return shipping.
- Warranty length. On r/coldplunge, one owner says they were told full warranty coverage lasted only 30 days. That conflicts with the 1-year chiller warranty on Polar Dive’s product pages. I’m reporting both.
The domain age detail
Polar Dive’s store domain is only about two years old, but BBB complaints naming “The Polar Dive” go back to spring 2024, before the current domain was registered. This is a good example of why domain age alone misleads. A young domain can belong to a business that’s been selling for longer under a different site.
Before you buy
- Ask whether the chiller is in stock and ships with the tub.
- Read the return policy, and search the site for “restocking.”
- Note that the return windows require unused or unmarked condition. Testing the product may void the trial.
- If buying from Target or Sam’s Club, confirm the retailer counts as authorized for warranty purposes.
- Pay by credit card.
